This book was the love child of a third year architectural design studio project based in Pittwater, in the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Executed in a weekend, at the age of 23, Michaela cites her influences as the renowned artist Lloyd Rees and her art tutor at the time, Eastern Suburbs architect, Yvonne Haber. The works are a mixture of ink, monoprint, pastel and watercolour, none of which are used in quite the way they should be. Breaking the rules, the illustrations are accompanied by a narrative, describing the experience of her journey, both physical and metaphysical.
